Doraku Sushi

White Dragon Roll
Two hungry girls from Tejas ended up at this chic sushi joint by lets say chance.

Dimmed, a Buddha statue, red background, yeah... I think I seen a sushi restaurant like this before, no?  As ya'll can picture it, this place pretty much looked like your typically trendy sushi restaurant found in almost any big metropolitan area.  Date spot I can tell you.  Maybe a blind date, since you can barely see your eating companion's face.  Ok, mean joke!  I'll take that one back.

The main objective of the night was eating delicious food since we were extremely hunger from kayaking earlier that day.  All I have to say is, I totally did not eat like a abstemious person!  Me + Sushi = Big Belly

The was our food selection of the night:

Calamari Tempura - Fried food.  What can possible go wrong?  Let's say this restaurant pass the test.  This dish was cooked correctly and was yummy but not something totally outstanding.

Maguro Tuna Nigri - Fish was good quality.

White Dragon Roll -  3 out of 5 stars.  The sushi roll was made correctly meaning everything stayed in one piece when I picked it up and put it in my mouth.  I just found the garlic chip being a till bit overwhelming for the roll.  For some reason the only thing I remember on the taste of the roll was the garlic kick aftermath.  Let's say I don't care much for this dish.

Doraku Roll
Doraku Roll - This was my highlight of the meal other than the alcohol.  I usually don't order deep fried sushi or a roll with cream cheese because the it doesn't taste like a sushi roll for me.  This roll has definitely proved me wrong!  The cream cheese in the roll blended well with the other stuff in there to the point you can barely taste it.  The exterior of the roll was fried to a good amount to just have the crispy texture without killing the chewy stuff inside.  Let's say this will be ordered again in the future.

This restaurant is worth a try, it hasn't totally won me over yet. Let's say I need to revisit it.
